Discussion List for Hollis Hills Jewish Center

Through the computer services of United Synagogue we have created a discussion list to be devoted to matters of community concern regarding customs, traditions, politics and synagogue programming. The list will enable our Rabbi to stimulate discussion on a host of topics, as well as provide additional insight to our practices and beliefs.

A discussion list is similar to subscribing to a newspaper. Once you subscribe you receive any posting by others to the list. A posting is similar to a letter to the editor. A published letter is then seen by all subscribers to the newspaper. Similarly, your posting to the list is read by everyone who subscribes. An interesting item may prompt a response to the list and you need merely reply to the posting to respond in a way which will be received and read by all those on the list. [For those who wish to respond to the individual posting a message by a private note, a separate message addressed only to that person's email address should be written and sent.]

How to get on the list - Go to the Archive page by using the button above or simply send a message to listserv@uscj.org and in the body of the message type / or double click the underlined address to send the message.
